Demo Derby

Check in your poultry, get your birds settled into their assigned cages, and complete any final paperwork before the fair begins. Department volunteers will be available to answer questions, help you get situated, and make sure you're ready for judging.

Before you arrive, make sure you've completed YQCA, have your Premises ID and any required poultry health documentation, and have your birds ready for inspection. The fair provides cages and water, but you'll need to bring your own feed, feed cups, and water cups. If your birds can't be checked in before the recommended time, contact the superintendents so your cage space can be reserved. Throughout the fair, you'll be responsible for feeding and watering your birds, cleaning cages daily, and completing your assigned department work shifts.

New to exhibiting? If this is your first fair, don't let the terminology intimidate you. Your entry confirmation tells you exactly which division, department, class, and lot number you've entered, and volunteers are always happy to help you find your way. Everyone at the fair was new once—we're glad you're here.
