Modified Tractor Pulls

Experience the thunder of high-horsepower tractors as they put incredible power to the ground in one of the fair's most exciting grandstand events. Watch the engines roar, the dirt fly, and the competition heat up as drivers battle to see who can pull the weighted sled the farthest.

Tickets: Grandstand tickets are available under the grandstand beginning one hour before the event. Online ticket sales are not available. The 2026 competition rules will be posted when they become available from PI Pullers.

Good to know: Tractor pulls are loud! Ear protection is strongly recommended, especially for young children. The grandstand offers bench seating, with a limited number of molded chairs available in the center section. Consider bringing a seat cushion for added comfort, and dress for the weather, as the grandstand is open-air.

New to tractor pulling? Competitors hook their tractors to a specialized weighted sled that becomes progressively harder to pull as it moves down the track. The winner is the driver who pulls the sled the greatest distance. Unlike the vintage tractor pull, modified tractors are purpose-built competition machines, often featuring multiple engines, turbine engines, or heavily modified powerplants capable of producing thousands of horsepower.
