You'll see vintage tractors from decades past hooked to a weighted sled. As the tractor moves down the track, the sled becomes progressively heavier, making every foot a challenge. The tractor that pulls the sled the farthest wins. Competitors take pride in restoring and preserving these historic machines, making this event as much about heritage as horsepower.
Good to know: Tractor engines can be loud, especially for young children. Ear protection is recommended for anyone sensitive to noise. The grandstand offers bench seating, with a limited number of molded chairs available in the center section. You're also welcome to bring a seat cushion for added comfort.
New to tractor pulling? Unlike a race, the goal isn't speed—it's strength. Each tractor makes a single pull down the track while trying to drag an increasingly heavy sled as far as possible. It's a unique motorsport with deep agricultural roots and a favorite tradition at county fairs across the Midwest.
